We are thankful to have spent our holidays this year with Marvin`s family in Siguatepeque! We always enjoy the change of scenery, the change of climate, and the change of people! (= It was fun taking Michayla now that she is a little bigger and more social! She especially enjoyed all of the animals out in the country! A special memory is her and her cousin, Andrecito, running to the window and looking out on tip toes anytime anyone mentioned cows! She also enjoyed seeing horses, chickens, ducks, and dogs! It was fun to have the three youngest Lopez cousins together! Their favorite activities were going outside and riding the the red wagon mobile! Michayla also LOVED her abuela`s tamales! She would eat a little less than a whole tamal by herself! Both of the abuelos loved being in a house with their grandchildren and thoroughly spoiled them with gifts and attention! We celebrated Jahaziel`s 1st birthday with all the family from Siguatepeque as well.
This Christmas was my first Christmas with no one from the Faull side of the family! We did read the story of Christ`s birth on Christmas morning, but besides that, really did not do any of my normal traditions this year. This holiday season I have been reflecting on Christ`s humility and my lack of humility. This was such a blessed year for us, but in all honesty, I ended the year feeling very burnt out and broken in many ways-very much in need of Christ`s gift of grace. I have felt a great awareness this season of how much I need Him to change and mold me and continue saving me from my sins! His grace saved me to start with, and it is only by that same grace that I will continue to grow and be transformed into His image.
A few highlights from this year: spending our first year with our baby girl and seeing her grow and develop, working with the youth at our church and seeing amazing growth, discipling and spending time with our niece, Alejandra, getting involved with the women`s group at our church and seeing Marvin`s family become involved in our church, and of course, visits from Hailey, Cate, Jung, Kara and Luis, and Mom and Dad! God is so good, and we are thankful for the many blessings He has bestowed on us! We hope you have all had a wonderful holiday season, reflecting on the gift of Christ to our lost hearts!

I LOVE all the pics dear! Great blog post as well! I had some of the same spiritual reflections this Christmas - on Christ's humility and my need for Him to keep saving us - He is the hope and Savior of the world! I love all of Michayla's adorable outfits, and she and the cousins looked so cute in their PJs. You're looking very beautiful too dear!
