A Sweet Day with my Sweet Valentine

Marvin and I have enjoyed a very wonderful first Valentine's Day together as a married couple. We have learned so much even already in our first 8 months of marriage together, and we both feel like marriage is better and better as the days go by!

We really enjoyed making the day special for each other in many ways. I was spoiled with a big flower bouquet, jewelry, a BEAUTIFUL poem and a fancy dinner at Del Corral. I enjoyed decorating our house, giving Marvin lots of chocolate, and making a very special Valentine-ish breakfast and lunch for him. I noticed on Kara's blog that she made chicken pot pie for her and Luis. For lunch I kind of had a similar idea. Chicken pot pies and hot pockets have seemed to be a Faull tradition for many years now, and I went with the heart hot pockets that my mom has made for us in the past for Valentine's Day. This was Marvin's first time to eat them, and he loved them! (-;

While we were eating dinner together tonight, Marvin was making the observation that while we go out of our way even MORE than normal to make each other feel loved on special occasions, we have truly been blessed by such a special and wonderful marriage. We truly live a life-style of doing special things for each other and finding creative ways to bless one another. Our prayer is that the Lord will only grow this in us and teach us to love one another more and more as the years go by.

Marvin's beautiful poem to me:

La hermosura, suavidad, encanto, son mi deleite.
Verte sonreir me hace mover toda mi sensibilidad,
Siempre sere tu principe, esposa hermosa
