Marvin and I especially enjoyed spending time with my wonderful sister, Kara, and her husband, Luis, this past month. We really enjoyed hearing them speak of their experiences in El Salvador and are so excited to see how God is working in and through them.
Kara and I had the opportunity of holding an MK girl tea party this past month to encourage the MK girls in the way they present themselves in the world and enjoyed talking to them and hearing about the things they have been doing.
We also loved getting together with some of the missionaries and talking/discussing cultural issues and ways to connect to the Honduran people in the area. The Lord has given Kara and me the gift of understanding and becoming part of the Honduran culture, and it has been our heart to be a bridge for people of different cultures to help them to connect and understand each other in ways they hadn't been able to. We know that Marvin and Luis will be tremendous help to us in this. It is such a gift to be married to wonderful Honduran men. We love that our husbands are Honduran and love that part of their culture in our marriages. We are so excited to see the Lord at work in bringing people of two cultures together in Him, and overcoming those barriers to love and serve like Jesus loved and served...
