Quick Trip to the USA

Wow! Life sure is a lot of whirlwinds, isn't it? One of my more recent whirlwinds was my two-week trip to the USA that I took to renew my visa here in Honduras and visit my family. The only regret of my trip is not having changed the batteries of my camera to have been able to take more pictures---specifically of Natalie and Catherine! I have no pictures from this trip of my two wonderful sisters who I had such a special time with! )-;

I enjoyed a delightful week in OH with Mom and Dad, going on a date with them, special time with my dad as I cut his hair, and lots of quality time here and there with my mom as we went on errands together and, of course, bonded over some Diet Coke! I was so happy, too, to accompany my mom, the Evangel women, and Ms. Suzanne on their annual women's retreat! It was a delightful time. I really enjoyed spending special time with Emily Dinsmore, who I have missed since moving to Honduras. I also had a wonderful time participating in the Silent Auction, playing Nertz with some very competitive women, making Thanksgiving name cards and eating chocolate! (-;

Catherine and I had some special sister time during our car-ride down to Gainesville to be with Natalie, Josh, Nadia Cate, and Peter. I miss my dates with the Babe!! She is so special to me! I enjoyed having some deep talks with her, drinking some YUMMY coffee, and playing the Alphabet game with her. I am so proud of the young woman that she is!

Last of all, but DEFINITELY not least, my precious week with my O'neil family topped off my time in the USA and filled me with lots of special memories to cherish. Nadia Cate is too sweet. She let me sleep in her bed with her for the first two nights--me on the little pillow and her on the big pillow--and said that when she woke up, we would cuddle!!! I can't believe how grown-up this little two-year-old seems already! Natalie and Josh are doing a wonderful job of raising their two beautiful children. I had such a special time with my dear niece and nephew and my sister and brother-in-law. I enjoyed playing violin with Josh, Rachel Rhodes, and Hannah Rhodes at their church, teaching Natalie's Spanish class to make flour tortillas and speaking to them ONLY in Spanish (I felt like such a foreigner!), making Christmas bags and cards, bonding with Natalie over hot, yummy drinks with Peppermint Mocha Creamer added to them, taking a couple walks with the family, and most of all, special time talking to my wonderful oldest sister! I have been so blessed indeed!!

One of my biggest blessings, though, was returning to my dear, sweet husband!! We missed each other so much!!! I am so blessed to have such a wonderful family...
